John Hodson
Chief Executive Officer | With over 30 years of experience in the TIC industry working in a variety of senior leadership roles at large testing and inspection companies, John joined Camin Cargo in 2016 as CEO following the retirement from active management of our founder Carlos Camin. John brings significant experience leading testing and inspection businesses in multiple international markets and is based in Houston Texas.
Charlie Plummer
Chief Financial Officer | Charlie Plummer earned a reputation as an entrepreneurial business executive in finance and operations roles with Fortune 500 companies as well as middle-market businesses. Charlie honed his approach of driving the business to exceed expectations in CFO and COO roles at several private equity and venture capital-backed middle-market businesses after beginning his business career at Ford Motor Company and excelling in eleven years of finance roles followed by five years as VP of Finance for Fisher Scientific U.S., the largest division of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Chris Morrison
Chief Operating Officer | As COO, Chris Morrison leads the largest Camin Cargo business units: US Lab & Inspections and the US Additives division.
Chris joined the company in 2002, starting in the laboratory, and has held several key leadership positions during his tenure. After being instrumental in leading Camin Cargo through the company’s most rewarding and most challenging periods, Chris accepted the promotion to Chief Operating Officer in 2022. Inspired by the dedicated employees around him, Chris focuses on building winning teams and maintaining a rewarding culture to solidify the company’s position as the industry leader, a trusted global brand, and as an employer of choice.
Chris’s strategic focus and 20 years of comprehensive experience are critical in advancing Camin Cargo’s mission of establishing and maintaining the highest levels of service, quality, and customer satisfaction in the Testing and Inspection industry.
Chris lives in Houston, TX and is deeply involved with his family and community. He enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams and volunteering for various charitable causes.
In his spare time, Chris is a skilled marksman and an avid wine enthusiast.
Marion Shtyrkalo
Vice President, Finance| Marion Shtyrkalo brings 22 years of finance professional skills. Marion earned roles with greater responsibility since joining Camin Cargo Control in March 2012.
Marion’s banking background with experience implementing business strategies and improvements in operating performance contributed to the Camin Cargo success.
Marion graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
Claudio Camin
Executive Vice President | Over 32 years of experience in the TIC industry with Camin Cargo Control. Claudio has worked in a number of senior management positions and has vast knowledge and experience of most departments within the organization. Claudio has an MBA in Finance and BS in Chemistry.
Joeri Geurts
Vice President & Managing Director, Europe | Joeri Geurts joined our company in 2018 through Camin Cargo’s acquisition of MIOS, a fast-growing testing and inspection business, founded in 2012 and led by Joeri. With extensive experience in the marine fuel industry, Joeri brings further valuable know-how to Camin Cargo Control’s already recognized capabilities. Joeri holds a Master in Law and began his career in London and Brussels as a qualified attorney-at-law, before also obtaining a Master in Maritime Sciences and moving on to be a legal counsel for a leading Maritime Shipping Group based in Antwerp.
In his personal time Joeri is an active sportsman and an avid Portuguese wine enthusiast.
Marcelo Remotti
Vice President Latin America and US Fuels Compliance | Currently managing Camin Cargo's presence in Central and South America and also leads the US Fuels Compliance division.
Marcelo graduated from the Argentine Naval Academy in Navigational Sciences with post graduate studies in Underwater Acoustics and sailed for over 17 years. He joined the Camin Cargo team in 1993 working in Operations and was previously head of Camin’s Information Systems Department, responsible for Polaris - Camin's flagship business application platform. In addition, Marcelo is an active participant on the API Petroleum Measurement Standards Committee for over 25 years and was the recipient of the 2019 Chester Ochsner Mentor Award.
