Chicago Lab Adds Full Ethanol Testing Capabilities

We are pleased to announce that we have added full ASTM D4806 Denatured Fuel Ethanol testing capabilities to our Chicago laboratory.

The United States now produces over 365 million barrels of ethanol per year and Fuel Grade Ethanol represents over 10% of the gasoline volume consumed in the US. Most of the ethanol is produced in the Midwest Region and Camin is strategically located to service this market.

  • Gas Chromatography – Ethanol Purity, Denaturant

  • Content, Methanol and other impurities

  • Coulometric Karl Fisher Titration – Water Content

  • Ion Chromatography – Inorganic Chloride and Existent Sulfate

  • Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy – Copper Content

  • Potentiometric Titration – Acidity and pHe

  • Combustion and UV Fluorescence – Total Sulfur

  • Heating Block and Jet Evaporation – Solvent Washed Gum Content

These added capabilities complement our current service offering – full Gasoline, Jet Fuel and Diesel testing.
