Fernando Assing

Chief Executive Officer | Fernando is a seasoned executive with a track record of leading global organizations, implementing transformational change, and building high-performance cultures. With deep expertise in financial management, operational efficiency, and strategic growth, he has successfully driven profitability and sustainable results throughout his career.

Having previously served on the Camin Cargo Board of Directors, Fernando brings a unique perspective on the company’s strengths and opportunities in the evolving market. His leadership is centered on fostering strong teams, ensuring compliance, and institutionalizing best-in-class processes to support long-term success.

As CEO, Fernando is committed to working closely with leadership teams, driving EBITDA growth, and strengthening Camin Cargo’s position as an industry leader. His passion for people, performance, and results will guide the company’s strategic direction in the years ahead.


Chris Morrison

Chief Operating Officer | As COO, Chris Morrison leads the largest Camin Cargo business units: US Lab & Inspections and the US Additives division.

Chris joined the company in 2002, starting in the laboratory, and has held several key leadership positions during his tenure. After being instrumental in leading Camin Cargo through the company’s most rewarding and most challenging periods, Chris accepted the promotion to Chief Operating Officer in 2022. Inspired by the dedicated employees around him, Chris focuses on building winning teams and maintaining a rewarding culture to solidify the company’s position as the industry leader, a trusted global brand, and as an employer of choice.

Chris’s strategic focus and 20 years of comprehensive experience are critical in advancing Camin Cargo’s mission of establishing and maintaining the highest levels of service, quality, and customer satisfaction in the Testing and Inspection industry.

Chris lives in Houston, TX and is deeply involved with his family and community. He enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams and volunteering for various charitable causes.

In his spare time, Chris is a skilled marksman and an avid wine enthusiast.


Scott Cockerham

Chief Financial Officer | Scott Cockerham is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience, including 15 years in the energy industry focusing on commercial development, merchant and investment banking.  

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Scott has held roles such as financial advisor at AlixPartners, where he developed expertise in chemicals; metals and mining; power and renewables; and engineering, procurement and construction. He holds a BS with Honors from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from the University of Michigan.  

As an active member of the Houston Producers Forum, Scott is excited to leverage his extensive background to contribute to the growth and success of Camin Cargo.


Joeri Geurts

Vice President & Managing Director, Europe | Joeri Geurts joined our company in 2018 through Camin Cargo’s acquisition of MIOS, a fast-growing testing and inspection business, founded in 2012 and led by Joeri.

With extensive experience in the marine fuel industry, Joeri brings further valuable know-how to Camin Cargo Control’s already recognized capabilities. Joeri holds a Master in Law and began his career in London and Brussels as a qualified attorney-at-law, before also obtaining a Master in Maritime Sciences and moving on to be a legal counsel for a leading Maritime Shipping Group based in Antwerp.


Marion Shtyrkalo

Vice President, Finance| Marion Shtyrkalo brings 22 years of finance professional skills. Marion earned roles with greater responsibility since joining Camin Cargo Control in March 2012. 

Marion’s banking background with experience implementing business strategies and improvements in operating performance contributed to the Camin Cargo success. 

Marion graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.


Alvaro Marzullo Bonnefont

Vice President of Latin America | Alvaro Marzullo Bonnefont is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of leadership experience managing multinational corporations across Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

Specializing in industries such as energy, TIC, life sciences, manufacturing, and materials science, Alvaro has driven growth, managed regional P&Ls, and led numerous mergers and acquisitions. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from FGV Brazil and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Mackenzie, Brazil.

As a Professional Engineer accredited by CREA in Brazil, Alvaro’s expertise spans oil and gas, green energy, pipelines, and specialty materials. Alvaro is eager to leverage his vast experience to drive strategic growth and enhance Camin Cargo’s presence and operations in Latin America.


David Yellow Robe

General Counsel | David Yellow Robe has provided legal support to clients in the petroleum, chemicals, and additives spaces for more than 15 years, including extensive experience in M&A, capital projects, contracting, and risk mitigation in the oil and gas industry.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas in 2010, David has worked for a variety of chemical and energy companies, from startups to publicly traded companies. Passionate about his new role,

David is excited to help Camin Cargo navigate exciting growth opportunities through various legal and compliance matters. In his free time, David enjoys cooking and hiking, especially during the fall.
