ISO 8217 •

ISO 8217 bunker fuel testing is performed to ensure compliance with mandatory safety and environmental requirements. The testing and inspection of bunker fuels can be completed at numerous Camin Cargo locations.

Bunker fuel testing is performed in accordance with the ISO 8217 specifications (2005 / 2010 / 2012 / 2017), which not only offer fuel purchasers guidance regarding the quality of product supplied but also help ensure compliance with mandatory safety and environmental requirements such as SOLAS, MARPOL Annex VI, the EU Sulphur directive, and Emission Control Area (ECA) requirements.

The ISO 8217 standard has recently been updated to reflect changes in the industry, and to provide protection for buyers and sellers alike. The testing and inspection of bunker fuels can be completed at numerous Camin Cargo locations.

Camin Cargo can provide rapid analysis of samples taken at our labs in Rotterdam, Houston, Panama, and Linden, minimizing the time taken from bunkering to reporting results of analysis. Bunker fuel sampling and inspection capabilities are in major shipping centers around the world, including Rotterdam, Shanghai, Singapore, UK, and the USA though our own staff or our approved subcontractors.

Once received in our labs the samples are normally evaluated within a 24-hour period, ensuring the client is aware of any fuel issues in a timely manner. For off-spec product our team can provide recommendations for the use of additives to bring the product back into compliance.

Utilizing the Camin Cargo SABA system clients can log in to our database to review their fuel quality, keeping them informed of changes.
